About the role:
Manufacturing Assembly professionals have a wide variety of activity in their everyday work. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, skilled manufacturing professionals who have a passion for hands-on work producing quality products in a time-sensitive environment.
The successful candidates will be mechanically inclined as they will primarily be involved in the manufacture of wheelchair accessible vehicle conversions but may also work on other specialized vehicle assemblies. Job specific training will be provided.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail to accurately follow work instructions, work orders, diagrams and written instructions in English.
- Capable of safely using a variety of hand and power tools (minimum requirement)
- Manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination to operate hand and power tools
- The agility to work in confined spaces in vans
- Work may involve standing, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, lifting and overhead installations in vans
- Good interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to problem solving
- The enthusiasm to work in a fast paced, dynamic production environment
- CSA approved safety footwear
- Some basic tools required
- Must have very good oral and written communications skills in English
- French speaking capability an asset but is not required
Hours Of Work:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – noon
Flexible Compensation: Starting wage at $18.50/hr. $19.25 per hour upon successful completion of six-month assessment. However, based on the company’s pay philosophy, previously acquired knowledge, skills and abilities can be compensated above these amounts listed.
