Manufacturing Engineer

Malley Industries is offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will work closely with both our engineering and production teams to enhance product assembly processes and drive continuous improvement.

 Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize CAD software (Inventor, fusion 360) for rapid prototyping and design modifications.
  • Manage and optimize Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the production process.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve manufacturing consistency and reduce variability.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Conduct time studies and workflow analyses to optimize production line efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Inventor, fusion 360.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with BOM management and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership potential and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Exhibit strong initiative and self-motivation in accomplishing tasks.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Creative problem-solver, able to think outside the box to develop innovative solutions.
  • Possesses a genuine passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends.
