Malley Industries has an immediate opening for a Account Manager, Composite Products, to assume the exciting and challenging role identifying growth opportunities while supporting and nurturing existing relationships with internal customers as well as our North American clients.

A multiple-award-winning manufacturer, our New Brunswick-based family-owned company has a track record for leadership, integrity, and innovation. The primary composite products we thermo-vacuum form are for the automotive sector. This includes full interiors of the ambulances we manufacture as well as a line of van wall liners and partitions marketed under the Bodyguard Composites brand. These products protect fleet vehicle investments while enhancing occupant safety. 

Within the industrial sector, there is tremendous growth potential for new commercial products. If you have a track record for relationship management and sourcing new business that creates win-win opportunities, you might be the sales professional we are looking for. The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced work environment with demonstrated proficiency in a technical sales role. Your hands-on entrepreneurial approach and team-focused communication style is what sets you apart as a dynamic sales builder and customer relationship manager. 

Role / Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be part of a dynamic sales team who are the “face” of the company as seen by our customers. You will serve the dual role of growing sales by identifying new market and product opportunities while continuing to strengthen and broaden relationships with existing customers. Critical to your success will be your ability to be a team player; working collaboratively with technical and engineering teams on new product development. You will also work closely with all internal teams to ensure that client expectations are communicated effectively to the rest of the company, and that the entire customer experience is managed proactively and with a sense of urgency. 

The role includes a technical requirement – you will be expected to know how the product goes together and be able to support customers with installation questions. 

You will be the voice of the customer within our business and is the customer’s advocate within our operation. Your ability to work collaboratively within the organization to achieve the common purpose of satisfying our customers will be the hallmark of your success.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrable ability to clearly communicate, present and influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Must be outgoing, proactive, and a motivated, self starter
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (monthly / quarterly sales results / annual forecasts) 
  • Report on account status
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and objection handling abilities
  • Assist with challenging client requests or request escalations as needed 
  • Proven work experience in a “client facing” role
  • Demonstrated oral and written proficiency in English (mandatory)
  • Oral proficiency in French (an asset)
  • This position will require occasional travel within North America.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM software

Education: Completion of a post secondary degree or college diploma with relevant business experience. The highly technical nature of this role is also suited to individuals with an engineering background.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in client facing technical sales/support role.
